Spent a lovely day up in Windermere on Saturday with Kerry and the girls. Absolutely beautiful weather for the photographs. It was great fun, dancing to Sia's "Cheap Thrills".
Nearly time and pre-gig nerves
Nearly time to leave for my charity gig this evening. Getting nervous but looking forward to it. What a beautiful evening for it...
Looking forward to the Groove taster class tonight. Same place at the later time of 7.17pm.
Spent a lovely evening with a fun bunch of women last night at the Stalmine Women's Institute. Might have been a small-ish group compared to some, but they were full of fun and lovely to talk to.
Lovely to meet you all. Thank-you xx
Spent a lovely morning with Jess and the girls celebrating her engagement. Everyone worked so hard, and the costumes looked amazing. Watching the video back this afternoon made me want to cry - you all looked so good having danced for such a short time!
I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Really hope you did too.
Congratulations again to Jess. Hope everything goes well on the big day
Had two very enjoyable classes last night.
1) The regulars started to learn a beautiful fan veil choreography which we are hoping to perform sometime in the New Year.
2) The Crash Course (now on week three) started to learn some travelling steps and did very well.
Looking forward to next week
Following an extremely intensive week in Sunderland last week where I joined other belly dancers to create a FANTASTIC show by the end of the week taught by Sara Farouk Ahmed, and getting my dance dojo back, I spent a lovely evening with the women of the Northern Women's Institute in Rochdale.
Lovely company, and it went very well.
Spent a lovely evening with the ladies of Dolphinholme W.I., sharing my love of belly dance, costumes and dance styles.
Thank-you for making me feel welcome :-) Hope you had fun!
Three brilliant classes tonight:
Poi technique in beginners
Confidence and getting it in Improvers
Egyptian Walk in Crash Course Part 2.
Well done to all! You all did really well :-)
Spent a cold evening with a bunch of lovely ladies in Higher Walton last night presenting my 'Belly Dance, Styles and Costuming' talk.
What better way than showing off your dance costumes whilst entertaining people?
Hi. I'm Sarah. I have been learning belly dance for what feels a very long time, but I still love it as much now as I did then. If you, dear reader, have been thinking about giving it go and haven't yet done so, now is the time. Take the plunge and join me (and many others) in this fabulous, joyous dance.
