Lovely company, and it went very well.
Following an extremely intensive week in Sunderland last week where I joined other belly dancers to create a FANTASTIC show by the end of the week taught by Sara Farouk Ahmed, and getting my dance dojo back, I spent a lovely evening with the women of the Northern Women's Institute in Rochdale.
Lovely company, and it went very well.

Spent a lovely evening with the ladies of Dolphinholme W.I., sharing my love of belly dance, costumes and dance styles.
Thank-you for making me feel welcome :-) Hope you had fun! Three brilliant classes tonight:
Poi technique in beginners Confidence and getting it in Improvers Egyptian Walk in Crash Course Part 2. Well done to all! You all did really well :-) Spent a cold evening with a bunch of lovely ladies in Higher Walton last night presenting my 'Belly Dance, Styles and Costuming' talk.
What better way than showing off your dance costumes whilst entertaining people? Now that the festivities of Chirstmas are over (sadly), now is the time to think about the New Year: resolutions, taking up something new, etc etc.

Not long been back from the Penwortham Gala.
The weather was very kind to us again this year, although the small amount of breeze we got, whilst great for cooling us down, played havoc with our poi veils. I'm sure I spent at least half my time wrapped up like a mummy. NOT the glamorous image I was trying to portray! I have lots of people to thank for today: My dancers: Gail, Paula, Tracey, Sarah, Linzi,. Lorena, Julie, Janette, Carol. My banner carriers: Paddy and Diane. Leaflet distributer: Ryan Driver and soundman: Paul Photographer: Philip Photographs hopefully to follow soon. Had our last rehearsal tonight before the Penwortham Gala which takes place on Saturday (in Penwortham).
Should be a lot of fun, so if you fancy coming down to support us and watch all the other groups, the procession is due to start at 12.30pm. There's loads of other stuff going on too, so a fun day can be had by all. ![]() Don't forget folks. The next available crash course starts in just 2 weeks time, on June 16th. If you are wanting to do the course, please book via my website. The course runs from 16th June - 21st June, and unless I reach my booking minimum, this course won't happen. AuthorHi. I'm Sarah. I have been learning belly dance for what feels a very long time, but I still love it as much now as I did then. If you, dear reader, have been thinking about giving it go and haven't yet done so, now is the time. Take the plunge and join me (and many others) in this fabulous, joyous dance. Archives
